On my raspberry pi 3b+ running raspbian there is no volume control and when i go into the raspi-config then advanced options and then audio it says no internal audio devices found. I also found that I should go into the boot then edit the config file but when I go to edit it there is nothing there whether on the pi itself or on my windows pc using.
